Our Platform Manifesto

Art Charity Raffles (ACR) is a frictionless sales platform that allows artists to raffle their artwork online, providing an alternative sales model reaching an audience typically unable to afford their work (tickets start from as little as £5).

The raffle model is able to raise more than the list price of the art which creates enough of a margin to donate a portion to the artist’s chosen charity and to fund online marketing. All this is achieved without eroding the artist’s list price.

As a small business founded during lockdown, ACR has now worked with enough artists to prove that our model and technology platform offers the art market something new, popular and sustainable.

Our core goals are:

  • Supporting artists
  • Making art more accessible
  • Funding social good

Supporting Artists

We provide artists with an alternative way to sell their artwork, whilst supporting their chosen charity and without paying expensive commissions or platform fees. Our frictionless digital platform allows artists to raffle their artwork online, providing an alternative, complementary sales model reaching an audience unable to ordinarily afford their work (tickets start from as little as £5).

Making art more accessible

Affording a piece of original artwork is out of reach of many art lovers. Art Charity Raffles empowers the art buyer by making art more accessible and less financially intimidating.

A raffle ticket holder could be the owner of an original piece of art priced up to and over £1,000 for just a small ticket price (which starts at just £5). Even if it isn’t a winning ticket, the ticket purchaser can be credited for supporting an artist and their chosen charity.

Since launch, in the journey from one raffle to the next, art lovers have discovered other artists they have chosen to support. Recently we were delighted to hear of a commission that was inspired by the discovery and purchase of an ACR raffle ticket. This proves that education and discovery is at the heart of what we do.

Funding social good

The ACR raffle model typically raises more than the list price of the art which creates enough of a margin to donate a portion to the artist’s chosen charity and to fund online marketing.  All this is achieved without eroding the artist’s list price ending an era where artists are expected to give away artwork entirely to charity.
